We've been hearing about the Pirates and deservedly so all season.

But quietly the Orioles are back in the thick of things. They haven't been to the postseason since 1997.

I dated an Orioles fan for 2 years and we remain friends. He is really excited and says this is completely unexpected.

It would be nice if both they and the Pirates make the playoffs. Nice to see some fresh blood in there.

Didn't know Free Ajent was a O's fan.

I didn't know you almost broke Cal's streak.

why the hell does everything have to be about someone you "know"
just curious
i'm convinced you really don't have any friends or know anyone and are just laying, bed ridden, on a pee-stained mattress with piles of garbage surrounding you and swarms of flies and maggots circling overhead

Then I'd be like you and if I was like you I'd kill myself.

If you were like Bagels and Bagels didn't want to kill himself then you could not be just like him and kill yourself.

I don't care for the guy, but the Orioles' Buck Showalter might be the AL Manager of the Year by a slim margin over the White Sox' Robin Ventura.

This part of the post was completely superfluous and thrown in solely to let people know that she:

A). Has dated someone before.

and

B). Has a friend.

CGS would never admit it, but she does these things in posts to raise her self-esteem. Not that there's anything wrong with that...it's just that it's so blatantly obvious. I know, because I've done it on this board before back when I was feeling low. It's pretty annoying though, as I'm sure it annoyed folks when I used to do it.

Bagels made a good point in his post.

I'm playing RPB today.

Peace...

The Baltimore Orioles can go to Hell. Why is it "nice" when loser franchises actually win?

Also, I have never dated anybody and remained friends. I do not believe this story.

The whole "we're both bored, let's just fuck" works better with an ex.

Was just talking to an ex about this the other day and why it wouldn't work if we lived together in separate rooms.

You gotta have rules for that like No calls the day after that, and spending the night is optional.

I should clarify. We were good friends we tried being something more it didn't work so we went back to being friends.

I was explaining why I follow the Orioles. It's kind of a weird team to pick in Chicago

If I were a lawyer, and you were a witness, I might point out to the jury an inconsistency like this.

So, if I want to kill myself (which sounds like a groovy option much of the time), does that make me like Bagels? Does the transitive property apply, in that it makes Bagels like me? I'm totally cornfused at the moment ...... :?

The Pirates no longer have a winning record.
