The City of Peoria has brought in the "Don't Shoot" program to try and curb our gun violence.

Its all a matter of effort & desire. CPD knows where most of the drug dealing & gang activity takes place. They can crack down & greatly reduce crime if they want to. But this latest effort will most likely only last for a couple of weeks. It should be a permanent ongoing effort.

Yes. Even I know where it is. Do you think CPD can just walk up to anybody in that area and arrest them because they look like a drug dealer? I know you would like to have it that way but the fact is that there are rules to protect citizens from people like you, Scorehead. The fact is that the cops probably do not know WHO is doing the dealing and shooting. The people that live there likely know who or have an idea who but they keep quiet.

You are the first one to preach small gov't and fewer tax dollars being spent, yet you are the first one to cry for more police patrols and even armed guards "on every street corner in the city." Who do you think would have to pay for that?

CPD increases patrols, does more proactive policing, the response is stop violating our civil rights, we have every right to hang out and not be harassed by you filthy pigs.

Wanting a smaller & leaner government does not mean that citizens & neighborhoods shouldn't be protected. I have never advocated armed guards "on every street corner". I do advocate armed bad ass guards on every street corner known for dealing drugs & gang activity. CPD has this data. They know where the majority of this activity occurs. Do I think these thug assholes should be harassed? Your damn right I do. Drugs are dealt in broad daylight like a drive through McDonalds & nothing is done about it. Innocent children & seniors are gunned down & nothing is done about it. I have no problem with the drug dealers & gang members killing each other. Hell, we should encourage more of this. But innocent people get in the way of bullets & no one cares.
Cleaning this shit up should be a priority for Chicago. Protecting its citizens should be a priority for any government.

How come you never give your idea on what could be done to fix the problem,all you seem to do is come into a discussion attack with out adding. So how would you fix the problem?

First of all, I didn't "come into a discussion attack without adding", whatever the fuck that means. I was just pointing out his blatant hypocrisy. I can see how another hypocrite such as yourself would take offense to that.

I don't have all the answers as to how to stop violence. However, if I was in a position of power, cannabis would be legalized, taxed, and regulated immediately. All jailed, non-violent, drug offenders would immediately be released from prison. The money that would have gone to house these "criminals" in jail (also less money spent on bailiffs, prosecutors, prison guards, etc.), along with the revenue generated from the newly legalized cannabis, would certainly provide some money to better fund police protection in the city, particularly in high crime areas. I don't advocate armed guards on every corner, but a few more cops patrolling the beat wouldn't be a bad idea. I would want much stiffer penalties for crimes committed with a gun. I am certainly not in the "ban all guns" crowd, but I have very little tolerance for these knuckleheads shooting guns in neighborhoods. Too many innocent people are getting hurt and killed. Instead of throwing drug addicts in a jail cell to rot, I would have them go through a drug rehabilitation. This type of plan has been implemented in places like Amsterdam and Portugal, and the results are positive.

Why do you go right to race? This has nothing to do with race. It has everything to do with children & innocent people getting killed in the streets. It sounds like you would rather do nothing. What is your solution other that to search my posts for accuracy? CSFMB police getting it done!
