Cheers. Thanks for all of your hard work and dedication. Soon, weirdos will even stop playing for "fun". I haven't heard any news on the matter in a few weeks so I can only assume that the NHL is no more. Best decision those.....people....involved ever made. We're all winners. mazel tov |

Death of Hockey? Simple,when they brought in the Eastern Europeans with the hard to pronounce names. The French Canadien NHL of the 1970's was much better with the pleasant sounding French names. Also,the helmet wearing has destroyed the individuality of the players. They all look alike. |

The helmets were originally implemented because they thought all those French Canadians were too hard to understand because of concussions. Turns out it was just because they were French Canadians. Would like to hear from the hockey experts of why this sport can't be the major sport it claims it is. I understand right now it is a fight over revenue and how much the players get paid, but is it just a case of the commish not being able to land a big enough tv deal to make all the teams a profit? Thus too many teams lose money annually. I enjoy going to a game or two, I enjoyed the hawks run a ton, but in the end a problem exists within the sport itself that they don't want to acknowledge or fix |
