I was waiting for someone to question the courage of these overpaid , lazy, pension sucking glorified babysitters. It's not like anyone's first instinct wouldn't be to get themselves out first but instead take charge of 20 to 30 kids who aren't yours and do their best to keep them safe. They were probably only thinking about their summers off and 2 weeks of vacation at Xmas break.

I'm pretty sure in the last collective bargaining agreement it states that if they die on the job, their families get double pension on their behalf.

I'll praise the staff at the school. One teacher protected her kids in a closet. The custodian warned everybody and most likely helped kids to safety. The principal and a few other teachers died while they were trying to save kids. We'll never know how many the saved, but it's clear they saved a lot.
