Great band! Never took themselves too seriously and knew when their time was up. Had a decent filmography and most definitely put the "cherry" on top of the Back to the Future sundae!

Sports, Fore, Small World and Picture This are some pretty good 80's bar band tunes.

Intro

The power of love is a curious thing
Make a one man weep, make another man sing
Change a hawk to a little white dove
More than a feeling that's the power of love

Tougher than diamonds, rich like cream
Stronger and harder than a bad girl's dream
Make a bad one good make a wrong one right
Power of love that keeps you home at night

Chorus 1 :
You don't need money, don't take fame
Don't need no credit card to ride this train
It's strong and it's sudden and it's cruel sometimes
But it might just save your life
That's the power of love
That's the power of love

First time you feel it, it might make you sad
Next time you feel it it might make you mad
But you'll be glad baby when you've found
That's the power makes the world go'round

Chorus 2 :
And it don't take money, don't take fame
Don't need no credit card to ride this train
It's strong and it's sudden it can be cruel sometimes
But it might just save your life

They say that all in love is fair
Yeah, but you don't care
But you know what to do
When it gets hold of you
And with a little help from above
You feel the power of love
You feel the power of love
Can you feel it ?
Hmmm

Chorus 3 :
It don't take money and it don't take fame
Don't need no credit card to ride this train
Tougher than diamonds and stronger than steel
You won't feel nothin' till you feel
You feel the power, just the power of love
That's the power, that's the power of love
You feel the power of love
You feel the power of love
Feel the power of love

They were at Ravinia last year. So they don't know when their time has passed.

It's probably the proper venue for them.

Didn't they sing the anthem last week at Candlestick?

Oh for Christ's sake!

What I meant was their time of having multi-platinum albums and several hit singles in a row and selling out arena's has passed. Playing at the Ravinia doesn't really mean that they are ready to take airwaves by storm and sell 10 million albums, does it, JIMMYPASTA?

They're not bad. The thing is, their sound is distinct to an era. I hear there music & I think the '80s. When all those who have lived in the '80s have died off, will the future generations "get it".

Looks like JimmyPasta needs to climb up a few rungs on Jacobs Ladder

That just means that the rich folk on the North Shore didn't realize that his time has passed.

I was there too. Funny how ravinia can be 40 degrees cooler than the rest of chicago.

This has the feeling of a "drinky" post. I get the same feeling when I hear a Pat Benatar song after a couple of beers.
