ref could have chosen one of several penalties to call at the five yard line but thank you falcons for staying within 4.5 |

I'm starting to acknowledge there may be something to the "Matt Ryan sucks when it matters" idea. 10 points total in the second half of the two playoff games isn't good enough. |

Yeah Crazy becuase he puts up such great numbers. But you cant fumble and you cant not score after the Crabtree fumble at the one I thought it might be the old Prevent Offense but that wasnt the case yesterday |

You just can't win with Tony Gonzalez on your team. It's science. |

It is weird. Ryan seems to be a good QB, but yeah, the lack of production is puzzling. He literally has the most help of any QB; those receivers are astonishing. My other thought: Gonzalez shouldn't retire. He's still good, and they could make a run next year. |

I would also like to see Gonzalez play one more year. Felt bad for him yesterday. Spiegs had a stat a little while ago. Gonzo fumbled 6 times his entire career including the ones his team recovered. |

Crazy stat Meatpants shared earlier. Tony G has over 1200 receptions in his career with only 6 fumbles, and only 1 fumble since 1999. |

Yet he keeps doing it. I know he works hard (diet and exercise) to stay productive, but he's been amazing. No reason to retire. |

He's had many late drive heroics, but I agree that he disappears when it matters most. He's a tough one to figure. It's funny how the most gifted QB's are a notch below less gifted ones like Manning, Brady, Montana, Brees. Having a little less talent must do something to make a QB work harder on reads, film, temperament, and such. |

Ryan is always let down by his D. He shouldn't have to put up 30+ points a game just to have a chance to win. It's not like he went out and sucked up the joint like Tom Brady. |

But winners go out and do what it takes. His 2nd half was less than inspiring. Yes, his defense could have held, and they would have won. But for two weeks in a row, they ran up the score and then shut it down. |

If he didn't score in the first and then scored all the point in the 2nd, everyone would be saying how he put the team on his shoulders but the D let them down. He either produces enough points to win a game or not. In this game, he put up 24 points which is pretty good. Had he put up 14 or less, I would say that he sucked up the joint. |

And the defense shouldn't have to be let down by a qb who fumbled a snap and threw and interception. They were fortunate not to lose that game by 11 points which Ryan was directly responsible for if not for the goal line fumble by the Niners. Ryan is a total win at home qb and spits the bit when it counts. |

How many receivers or backs has Brady had that will wind up in the hof? One? Give Brady white n Jones n he breaks his own td record he set with moss. Atlanta should have lost by 14...crabtree fumble on goal line n missed fg by that scrub akers n this game is not close. |

312player wrote: Pushed, but it should have been an easy win. Then you also have to consider the Ryan without being touched while the Falcons were driving and already well within field goal range and the Ryan INT when his WR fell down. You'll be hard pressed to prove a team that was down 17 should have had an easy win. |
