It was nice to hear someone criticize the NBA for having no-name players in the dunk contest.

He should be calling out the NBA for continuing to have a dunk contest period.

For Sir Charles, a dunk contest must involve Donuts.

As soon as they lose Shaq, I'll be in complete agreement with you.

The dunk contest sucks, I think we have seen all of the dunks although bringing back the big names would give it some life.

i watched the all-start shit saturday night with my 12-year old son, he was pretty fired up about t so i thought i would sit and watch with him. He was going on and on about the great steve novak shooting in the 3-point contest, and i was like "who?", and he was pretty distressed to find out i didnt know who he was so i guess im not that in touch with the nba these days. anyway, he pretty much sucked and got eliminated right away, so jr. was pretty disappointed. then the dunk contest comes on, and i think the shooting percentage in that contest was about 8%. miss, miss, miss, miss, miss, miss, miss, make WOW THAT WAS THE GREATEST DUNK EVER GIVE THE MAN A 50! what? the guy just missed like 8 dunks in a row, finally gets one to go down and gets a 50 and advances to the next round? Gerald Green missed that 2-ball dunk what, 10 times in a row? embarrassing. that contest was awful viewing it was painful listening to the commentators try to pump it up when that contest was a disaster on every level. where is larry nance when you need him?

if they continue to have this terrible competition, you should get 2 attempts only. it would be better to lower the level of difficulty to actually see some dunks go THROUGH the fucking hoop.

I agree that the number of missed dunks are rididulous, but if they play it safe, you're see even less creativity.

There's only so much you can really do with the dunks. However, you improve the interest level with guys who actually play regularly.
