Simeon 1-4 v New Trier Over the air: 26.3 XFINITY: 223/357 RCN: 14 WOW: 17/19 DISH: 23 DIRECTV: 23 U-Verse: 23 Classic NT team. Kids going to princeton, 6'4" great athlete (Future attorney..lol) everyone can nail the 3, good defense, etc. My guy Fricke coaching, he played on teams exactly like this for my guy Rick Malnati. Don't think I need to tell anyone who Jabari Parker and co are. |

I don't know if Malnati still runs his summer euro trip where he takes 15-20 inner city players with 10 kids from NT to Italy, Spain, etc for trip to play hoop. He might have this year and thats why he joined Loyola so late, as I can see the NCAA having a HUGE problem with this if he was an assistant coach at the time. But in the past when they played King or Simeon a number of the players were friends already, so never really any issues. Chicago State isn't that far for some to get to. Run the picket the fence! |

A few years ago, my sister told me they finally made it. I said "hey, great, good for [band director]" and never gave it a second thought. I don't know who's in the band. Don't care. I'm old. |

36-28 Simeon at the Half. Terrible coaching by Robert Smith. Simeon on a 10-2 run, 1:30 left in the half and Simeon holds for the last shot of the half???????? Yes, Kendrick Nunn just held the ball until 8 seconds left and then they ran a crappy play which resulted in 4 passes outside the 3, Parker takes a bad 3 point shot and misses. 48-37 Simeon end of 3 Parker is quite a pussy Not sure if the guy was just so talented as a Soph, that his ranking as a top player remained high, but his shot is short most of the time, his elevation is not great. He is just bigger than the other players. Will be very interesting to see him at Duke next year. |

NT had 2 trips, down 5 and didnt convert on either, after fouling Simeon and them missing the front end of 1 and 1's Simeon up 9 with 30 seconds left Moral Victory? Not impressed with a Robert Smith at all. Way more talented Simeon team can't sake the white boys. Him as Illinois coach would be a total disaster. |

I still am a fan, but Simeon is wildly, wildly overrated imo. For most of the season it was either fast break or get the ball to Jabari and watch. BF, you're right about Smith(except on defense), but until he can't recruit, it doesn't really matter. |
