For announcing that you're going away after this season.

Good riddance you useless jerkoff.

It's long overdue. Also hard to believe that McCarver has worked for all 4 of the broadcast networks that have carried MLB nationally. Even harder to believe...Tim has worked 27 consecutive World Series as the lead analyst, starting with ABC Sports when they had the Royals/Cardinals' World Series in 1985. Makes me wonder if the dull Eric Karros is next in line to sit next to Joe Buck come 2014...

Only if Spaeda had interviewed him.

I still couldn't believe a year ago that Tim McCarver was honored with the 2012 Ford C. Fricke Award.

There should be a parade for this.

Bookmarking and stealing this for future use when Boers either hangs 'em up ( good) or dies ( better)

I know I've posted this before, but I don't care...any reason to laugh at this guy's broadcasting ability is good with me...

2006 playoffs...every damn game I watched, McCarver used the "he's hydroplaning around the basepaths" line at least once...

...finally get a game where it had just rained the night before...and he doesn't use the line.

In retrospect, this isn't funny at all, but I still find the whole situation hilarious and typical McCarver.

If its for McCarver, it should be going the wrong way on a one way street.

See you in hell McCarver, you robbed all of us true baseball fans of good broadcasts for many years.

Tie with previous mention for my favorite McCarver moment:

Freese hits homer at end of game 6...silence for two minutes while team is going nuts...then McCarver breaks the silence...

HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?!?!?!

Now just get rid of Joe Buck and then get rid of Mike Breen.

There seems to be a lot of things changing lately. Out with the old, in with the new. It's great to remove some of these old bums who aren't worth a damn. Make Brenly the top playoffs analyst and remove buck... maybe consider Costas. Costas/Brenly is an intriguing duo.

Hopefully they will replace him with someone who has played in this century.
