I'm sure it feels good to be in the second round.

What was that like 2003 when he said that?

Seems like forever ago. I remember seeing it at my brothers place and we were laughing just thinking about the possibility of him losing.

2003 against the Pistons. The Magic led 3-1 and then T-Mac proclaimed how happy he was that he was finally out of the first round and then the Pistons subsequently won 3 in a row. That was McGrady's finest season, at 23 years old.

He was a badass in the early 00's and was dynamic as hell as a player. In his last year in Orlando and then onto Houston I thought his shot selection went to shit and it really affected his play. His first three years in Orlando were brilliant.

McGrady was Kobe-good for awhile. Just didn't last very long.

From 01-03 I think they mirrored each other as players. McGrady was a little bigger and Kobe was a little better as a defender, but they were easily the best all around perimeter players in the league. McGrady's potential was so damn great, it bothers me to this day that his career turned out the way it did.
