Danks has a good change, but it didn't fool Navarro. His hard stuff, lacks the velocity to be as effective as it was prior to the shoulder problems. Probably never be the same.

His healthy runs about .500 with a 4+ERA

So let me get this straight. You say that Floyd's best years may well be ahead of him, because pitchers come back stronger from Tommy John surgery, but Danks will never be the same?

ES sometimes says dumb stuff but shoulder injuries are vastly worse than elbow injuries.

No way I believe "Floyd's best years may well be ahead of him." He might be 33 years old by the time he throws another pitch in MLB.

Tommy John basically gives you a new arm for a few years.

With Floyd though im not sure. Stuff and Velocity are not really his issue.
