You are beating the crap out of Wisconsin base hit after base hit after double after double and by taking every single base you can on their large catcher who can't block crap.

That is some good ball coming out of the city. Usually the LLWS swings all look the same and everyone wants to drop bombs. Everyone had a different looking swing and put the ball back where it was pitched as opposed to trying to pull everything out of the yard.

What is going on with that Obama Jobs shirt in the crowd they keep showing?? Where does one find that.

Also, a huge shoutout to Regular Reader and his youngest son, as he coaches and his son is on the team. I was just communicating with him on Facebook. What a awesome opportunity for all of the coaches and kids and I really am pulling for them as they will play on Saturday at Noon.

That is awesome. They looked like such a well coached team. They did so many little things well. There was one play where a kid was busting it for a triple and knew how to slide around the tag and hook onto the base. They ate that team up with their smart and aggressive base running. Was RR the guy on third coaching in his timberlands?? 42 had such a relaxed approach and great swing for a youngin.

I don't know, I walked in from football practice at the very end of the game almost. I just knew it was them from his facebook post earlier.

Not me. Nor is my son on this team. I may just be on the book on Saturday helping, if needed. I just helped coach six of the kids on this team from the coach pitch/minor league level on. My own sons played on different teams that both made the state finals, but unfortunately never grabbed the ring. Great thing is that all of the coaches have been doing this now for 10-15+ years, with 3 state titles, 2 runner ups spots and a handful of other state finalists to their credit.

DB (JRW Mgr) is just being a hell of an anchor leg getting this team to this point.

But you all can feel free to claim this team as your own.

If you're a South Sider, from Maywood or Rockford, you're now a member of "the West"

My apologies on the mis-information, for some reason I thought your youngest was that age.

No harm, no foul.

He is that age, he just didn't make that (Major 11/12) team. He only made the lesser Intermediate (12-13 yr. old) team.

I'm guessing half the kids on that team end up at Mt. Carmel :bom:

My LLWS fantasy draft is Tuesday, and I haven't done any research yet.

I don't actually watch the games, but nice try, champ. And you're right, I'm sure no one watches the LLWS games ESPN televises.

They are 12/13 and I enjoy watching the games. Pretty good baseball out of some of these kids.

It shouldn't be on tv anyway.

Yeah, because KD said so.

I don't think saying a kids game, played for fun, shouldn't be on TV is that provocative. I guess I'll wait for ESPN to add junior high cheerleading competitions to TV. I'm sure people would watch that too.

I know I've seen college and possibly HS cheerleading on ESPN, but not middle school. I think that just says they have the competition at the ESPN thing in Orlando.

This pitcher they were sitting on all week as their secret weapon has been a secret weapon for the other team. Not a good start for IL. He is doing a great job of showing up his catcher as well on the dropped 3rd strike and passed ball.

I saw on the screen 13 years olds are allowed to play if they turn 13 after May 1st of this year. I wonder how many kids on all of these teams are 13.

That kid is huge.

Where's Keanu Reaves to inspire this team?
