I haven't run a marathon yet, but I want to. Closest I've done is doing the lakeshore path around Geneva Lake, and even though I ran a lot of it, I walked a bunch, plus I stopped to sit a few times to rest or to take shelter from some heavy rain. Something like six hours to get all 26 miles in. But one of these days I will run a marathon, and yeah, I probably will be a douchebag about it for a while if I complete it in a reasonable time and don't shit all over myself.
