We had it last weekend, but I think that was the rarity, as opposed to the norm. Everyone else I hear from, at least in the suburbs, has trick or treating today.

Crown Point already cancelled the T&T today and pushed it til Friday due to the rain.

There is a place in Iowa where one town trick or treats the day before and the other does it today.

We have it tonight here in Kenosha. I bought three whole bags of candy so they better come and get it
pretty quick.

lot of communties are doing "trunk and treats" due to all the poisonings and kidnappings.

We didn't have many trick or treaters last year because so many people didn't have power and there were major gas shortages. In many areas, they cancelled it completely or people didn't really know what was going on.

Who would have guessed that this year I would be dealing with an even greater tragedy?

More pussification of today's kids.

If they want candy, get out today and put some raingear on. If somebody knocks on my door tomorrow looking for candy I'll tell them Halloween was yesterday and I'll give them a 2014 calender so they can get it right next year.

No shit, Hank. I remember going on in the cold, rain, whatever. If it was a weekday if was after school. None of this "oh lets make it on the Sunday before" crap.

In 2006 when when I was in Montana it snowed 15" two days before Halloween and the temperature on Halloween night was in the single digits. Guess what? Parents and kids bundled up and got out there.

Shit when we were kids we had to battle through all the smoke from burning leaves. You couldn't hardly see where you were going!!

How can "they" push trick or treating until tomorrow? Are kids not going to be allowed out of the house today? What happens to the 99% of people who don't look at the town website? Won't they be pissed when some kids are knocking on their door tomorrow?

Rules created around trick or treating are so lame. Why the hell do hours need to be set? "Trick or treating is only allowed from 3:00 - 7:00". Fuck that bullshit. I'll knock on your door at 9:30 if I want.

i'm willing to alter my schedule to be home and available TODAY to hand out candy. TODAY only
someone comes by tomorrow, or Saturday or whenever they're getting the door slammed on them like the Mirror did to CH

Halloween is one day a year. People who bitch about kids knocking on their door outside of the "scheduled hours" need to get over themselves.

I can understand being pissed if it's something past 10:00, but let the kids have some fun.

We took the kids out in some rain and wind. We put their boots on, and the 3 year old jumped in every puddle.

I'm not about to raise a couple of softies.

We cancelled Halloween here once I couldn't seem to find any bleeding vagina duplicitous turncoat costumes anywhere. Guy at the shop said there'd been a huge run on them recently.
