1st Ballot Hall of Famer. Awesome career. One of the best right handed hitters we'll ever see, and probably the best I ever saw to date. Him and Babe Ruth are the only guys in MLB history to have 6 or more seasons of at least; 100 hits, 20 HRs, 100 RBI, 100 walks, 100 runs, and during each of those years Frank's batting average was well over .300

Congrats, Big Hurt!

Agree. As a Cubs fan, I always liked watching Big Frank. My son and I happened to be at the White Sox game where they unveiled his statue. I have a Frank Thomas replica statue in my office, which they had given away at that game. If you love baseball, guys like Frank Thomas are what make it fun to watch. BTW, we call my son Big Frank, although he was named at my grandfather.....

That is what sucks about PED's, there is no way to disprove a player used them. So sad.

I know it only appeared this way, but Frank always looked to me to be using more Arms than anything else.

Id love to see what he would do with a big ass softball swing. Ill bet he could hit the ball 600 ft

He used to take BP with a metal bat and would repeatedly put balls onto the concourse.

That would be something at the HR derby. Let the guys use metal bats.

Yeah, I retrieved a couple of Frank's balls on an Altar Boy trip

I am actually more appreciative than the White Sox President of Franks accomplishments.

Who is on 'White Sox Business" which is "More important"

“In the last 10 days I have been in Australia, the Dominican Republic and Los Angeles on White Sox business. There is nothing more important than the business taking place in the next few days.

“So I sent Frank a congratulatory message this morning via text and I imagine his phone has blown up with all the messages he has already been getting.

Other than you, who really cares what Kenny Williams thinks about this? You think it matters to Big Frank if Kenny called him or not?

Just reporting the facts Maam. never stated an opinion. All pasted and copied from stories in the Newspaper, so either someone else cares or those who select what should be printed in the newspaper should be fired.

I suggest you make some calls to the local editors today.

My bad. I should have been more specific. It was Frank Thomas balls that were spread out amongst the altar boys

Michael Sneed does.

I have pretty much built a strong hate up for Kenny Williams personally. Thanks for 2005. His a true peenuus as a human.

He sure is. Couldn't care less about what he thinks about Frank Thomas though. 75% of this HOF career was in the books before Kenny was GM.

The big question still remains to be addressed.
Will Frank walk out of the induction ceremony before it is all over to catch a plane back home?
(just like he did at the All Star Game)

Showing a game from May of 1994 over the Twins on "Sportschannel" at the moment ... nice hearing Wimpy, REALLY nice to not hear Hawk be an abject retard over, for example, a questionable umpiring call ... not a lot of dead air pouting either.

I have to concur that Frank was great but greatest Sox Hitter of all time?
I nominate Joe Jackson. Better average and he only had 8 /2 seasons to Franks 18

I prefer the latter cartoon character Hawk

Though I watch for comedy not info on the game
