Never really liked this guy but I love everything about what he did with his HOF vote. His explanation was perfect. Anyone who can't see how incredible and blatant the hypocrisy of the voting process is isn't being objective, or is just a complete moron. |

Bagels wrote: denied, he's a tool now and forever Rejection of your denial. It only seems terrible because of the system encompassing what he did. His actions only made the idiocy of the system more obvious. Kurkjian also had some good interviews on this. |

The Deadspin fan ballot was better than some actual ballots. |

What happened to the Deadspin v ESPN thing. Thought they hated each other? |

LeBatard has been banned from future HOF voting. Good job, BWAA. |

Jay Mariotti unloads everything he's had chambered on sports media today: http://www.sportstalkflorida.com/as-le- ... s-himself/ Quote: Compared to Obamacare, the polar vortex and traffic jams ordered vindictively by the staff of no-longer-future-President Christie, the state of America’s sports media doesn’t interest anyone with a life. It’s just that I decided years ago to write and broadcast sports as a profession, so I’m disgusted to see where the industry is heading.
Straight into a clogged toilet, from what I can tell. |

Mariotti is the first person I would turn to in order to get an impartial assessment of ESPN and Deadspin. |

It was a bad move for him because his vote was stripped. But I'm sure he's reached a new level of credibility in the mind of some. |

The level of outrage and the swift punishment directed at Le Batard is all the more hilarious when one realizes that the BWAA circled the wagons in defense of Bill Conlin. |

Lebatard should have used his ESPN platform to voice his opinion. I do agree with his assertion. Any player linked to steroids is automatically black balled from the Hall of Fame. Barry Bonds was a hall of famer before steroids so was Roger Clemens in my opinion. The greater issue for me are those that are merely linked to the steroids era. It relates to players that were not directly linked to steroids but happened to play and prosper during the steroids era. Every one is a suspect and I think that is wrong. It is almost as if no great players have ever existed without using steroids. If you were a great player during the mid 90's until the present you are under suspicion and the burden of proof lies upon you to disprove steroid use. |
