Best all around player in the league... by far. His future is blindingly bright.

Future Cub?

Angels are going to run into some cash issues one day.

Unless the Dodgers buy them too

Yes, but not until he's 32 and just about to break down.

He's going to get a 10 year/$350M contract once he hits free agency. Doubt the Cubs will jump on that.

He is in year 3 for $500K.

Year 4 comes his arbitration. $14-5M per year.

If you really believe he is "clean" you cut a deal for a new 6 year deal.

If you think he is on anything you sit back and wait each year.

They are talking about him looking at the first $400M deal.

Yeah, he is going to sign a six year deal.

Would YOU sign him to a new 6 year deal?

I want to see one more year of amazing production before I pay MAX.

Mike Trout is definitely in the 8-10 year contract market.

Only way he signs for 6 is if he is averaging like $35M a season. He has all the negotiating power with way too many teams ready to throw cash around....what with all these crazy new TV deals being handed out left and right.

35 is low. He'll have an A-Rod Texas like blowout of all the other contracts

I would try to lock him up for as long as I could.

He is without doubt the most talented player to enter the MLB in some time. He will demand a enormous contact eventually.

Where are you getting these bad contract ideas? First it was the Cubs should sign Robinson Cano to a 4 year deal, and now you are skeptical about offering Trout a 6 year deal? Someone will offer him 10, no questions asked.

I would be shocked if he doesn't get $30M+ a year.

I would offer him a 15 year $420M contract with a $100M payout in the first 2 seasons.
