Well, this is the time of year where my work slows down. I'll be working maybe 20 hours a week if I'm lucky til May.
Now that means more time for you motherfuckers.

You're so lucky.

Great. Just retuned from a splendid elementary school music concert and a visitation. Both ends of the spectrum in about an hour's time.

no. Plenty of home time for masturbation and playing of video games.

Sump Pump season for us is like April. Last year we had the first thaw followed by like 4 inches of rain in 4 days and we replaced something like 350 sump pumps in a week. This year we've got 3 pallets full of pumps. Last year we couldn't get them in fast enough.

Plastic shit, I just went and bought one and installed it. Water needs to come from somewhere, find it and fix it.

Wouldn't have that problem if you went tankless.

My battery backup on the sump hasn't worked for a while. What does it cost to replace that thing?

I had just bought a new battery for it.

It's almost cheaper to buy a small generator. Less maintenance. And... you can watch TV still during massive 3 day outages when your battery would be dead by then anyway.

GENERAC!

Get a 7 KW system !

Its really kinda cool. next time power goes out for days, you have TV, heat, some lights.

Put a couple into some houses. Really awesome. It runs off the gas line, so I cant say you are "off the grid" but the gas will keep you alive for days while your neighbors lives crumble! and when I say ALIVE I mean TV access!

Yeah, they're pretty sweet... Fully automatic too. And really expensive.

I do have a generator but that's no gouda when I'm out of town.

Unless you mean one that's hooked up to my power. That's cheaper than a sump battery backup? I thought those were a couple grand.

They are. I meant just a simple generator. Shit man if you're out of town a battery backup pump won't do you a frogs ass worth of good for more than a couple hours. If that.

I always imagined that Dr. Ken would just have some of the servants pedal bikes to generate power in the event of an emergency. I am somewhat disillusioned.

Really? The one I had was supposed to be good for at least a day IIRC. The damn thing was hooked up to a boat battery. That thing was nicer than my car.

Alright, guess I'm just screwed.

He needs more than that. You would be surprised at how often a place floods that has a moat around it.
