the sting wasn't "come to this general neighborhood, there are young boys and girls that want to have sex with you somewhere! " it was a specific address where there was in fact law enforcement present, except for the very first season i believe

but it is a controlled environment....these aren't average citizens just helping the police out, they're trained, the house is wired to the hilt, there are cameras everywhere

would you suggest they try and lure them to an abandoned warehouse in the middle of an industrial area ? i mean, it kinda has to be somewhat realistic in order to actually catch the person...
