I read it differently. He moves out of his place into hers, and then he builds the game room in his old place.

Had heard about/was warned about the mythical creeper pedo in the windowless van, proffering candy. Always kinda figured it to be an apocryphal tale meant to serve as a warning to kids and not directly based in any real world situation.

Screwing around on reddit a few weeks ago, ran across this fucking creepy picture of a kid chained up in a basement back in the 70's. The kid in the pic is a to-date unindentified victim of a 70's serial killer from Houston, Dean Corll. Corll's parents owned a candy company. He would drive around in a van handing out free candy to kids, eventually moving on to luring them back to his place etc. Don't recommend hunting down the haunting polaroid of the kid. Image
