Outside The Lines today had a piece on this guy. TOE NASH! heard of him in the Josh Hamilton documentary. Hamilton talked about busting on the scene and the only other guy who kid hit like him in the Rays system was Toe Nash. Was such a strange name I always remembered it. Then today they had the piece on him. Sad story of the guy with tons of natural talent, just couldnt figure it all out, goes to jail, drugs, rape, etc. Great piece to look for on ESPN, or I am sure they have it Online, Now at 32, the guy is trying for the comeback. of course very unlikely, but still give the guy credit for getting his shit together, even a little. |

Just watched it. It's pretty much heartbreaking. He made some mistakes, but it sure seems like he never had any help. This kid (he's still much younger than me) is still in need of some help. Seems like he'd be perfect for the Northern/Independent league that runs teams in Joliet/Schaumburg/Rockford etc. |
