I could see a team like Philly doing this with having to meet the salary floor. Maybe that's what Orlando is doing.

yeah, thats why one year the Bulls signed Greg anthony for $6M and cut him and signed Will perdue for $8M. To hit the floor.

And didn't Keith Van Horn get signed for like $3 million at a trade deadline to make a deal work and immediately cut? I thought I remembered something like that.

What did you like most about the Mark Bryant and John Starks eras?

I enjoyed the Othella Harrington era myself.

One of the most fun seasons as a Bulls fan was Gordon's rookie year when he routinely took over 4th quarters

He was a better version of Nate Robinson. He couldn't guard a mannequin but he could carry a team when he got hot. That Boston series was great too.

I remember yelling THE DAGGER!!! as the Bulls beat the Knicks on an MLK Day that was so inhospitably cold that I couldn't go outside to get lunch.

That was the famous "Big Ben Gordon with a TORCH!!!" call from Johnny Red Kerr.

This gives me a new perspective on this week's frequent Wally Szczerbiak comparisons. It's as if to say that you haven't forgotten.

I remember it well. I flew back from a vacation to Florida that day. Me and my GF fought the whole cab ride home from midway, then I watched the game while she pouted in the bedroom

One note of possible interest is Gordon shares an agent with Orlando's rookie from last year. Two years is relatively harmless if you're just trying to curry favor with someone for a later time.

I took my son to the first home game and the Bulls got their brains beat in.

Yup. The steady decline of Southwest Airlines is starting to change that though since they basically run the airport.

Yes

And long freight trains if you are coming from the western suburbs.
