Rich Rod brings the Cats into the Valley of PINK and Green and takes down #2 Quack Attack. Someone should tell them they are not an NFL team and they didnt need to wear pink. Michiagn Alums must be happy they ran him out. |

Good for AZ, though. Anytime that Nike U. loses, is fine with me. |

Brady Hoke's incompetence doesn't make Rich Rod's tenure there any better. Hoke won the Sugar Bowl, and has beaten MSU and OSU. |

I knew Rod lost a lot but I thought the gist of it was impatient alumni as he was starting with previous recruits and he never got his recruits fully in. And then they just didn't like the system at all. |

There's a good amount of revisionist history going amongst Michigan fans and alums. They are all trying to blame Dave Brandon, the Pizza AD, for the removal of DickRod. They point out things like DickRod's teams actually got better record-wise each season and he got them back to a bowl in his third and final year. Plus, they like to toss in that recruiting started to suck under Carr and that Hoke won with DickRod's guys and adapted an offense to the talent they inherited. The fans and alumni all wanted Rodriguez gone at the time. |

With his own guys he sucks. RRod has proven he's a decent coach, Hoke never has. Not saying UM shouldn't have fired RRod, but he's a way better coach than Hoke will ever be. |

And RichRod couldn't win with Carr's players. Carr's teams won 20 games in his last two years. |

Michigan also some big problems with economics and changing demographics of the state to worry about. It's going to be hard to fill the stadium every week when the alumni are leaving the state and are being replaced by people that don't care about football and/or don't have a lot of money. |

But aren't most Michigan alumni from out of state in the first place? It's always been a big destination for East Coasters. And don't a lot of the ones who don't run back to Jersey wind up around Chicago? That's a doable day trip for both alumni and natives of southeastern Michigan who also wind up around Chicago a lot. I wouldn't bet money on it, but I think Michigan is due for a bounceback when the Southwest runs out of water. Water is considered important. |

That is true but at least according to MSU fans, Michigan Wolverine fans also draw heavily from the townie population. I believe their term is "Wal-Mart Wolverines". Even those people have to leave in order to survive now though supposedly the population loss has started to slow.I wouldn't bet money on it, but I think Michigan is due for a bounceback when the Southwest runs out of water. Water is considered important. Yes though, ultimately the Big Ten will be in for a resurgence when global warming finally turns all non-coastal states west and south of Missouri into desert. |

As a ND fan, I was happy to see Carr go. Carr was a great coach, imo |

Chus wrote: What a difference a week makes. Not really, they lost by 2 on a failed conversion to a good USC team that has a future NFL back who had another great day....and controlled the clock on the ground with over 200 yards. AZ isnt a great team, they have some very good offensive weapons combined with a offensive minded coach can beat anyone, but keeping the ball out of their hands...or any team like them...is a very good idea. |
