He was 15-22 at Michigan, with no wins over MSU or OSU. That gets you fired.

I knew Rod lost a lot but I thought the gist of it was impatient alumni as he was starting with previous recruits and he never got his recruits fully in. And then they just didn't like the system at all.

Brady Hoke's incompetence doesn't make Rich Rod's tenure there any better.

Hoke won the Sugar Bowl, and has beaten MSU and OSU.

He won the Sugar Bowl with RRod's guys. With his own guys he sucks. RRod has proven he's a decent coach, Hoke never has. Not saying UM shouldn't have fired RRod, but he's a way better coach than Hoke will ever be.

And RichRod couldn't win with Carr's players. Carr's teams won 20 games in his last two years.

Michigan also some big problems with economics and changing demographics of the state to worry about.

It's going to be hard to fill the stadium every week when the alumni are leaving the state and are being replaced by people that don't care about football and/or don't have a lot of money.

But aren't most Michigan alumni from out of state in the first place? It's always been a big destination for East Coasters. And don't a lot of the ones who don't run back to Jersey wind up around Chicago? That's a doable day trip for both alumni and natives of southeastern Michigan who also wind up around Chicago a lot.

I wouldn't bet money on it, but I think Michigan is due for a bounceback when the Southwest runs out of water. Water is considered important.

Yes though, ultimately the Big Ten will be in for a resurgence when global warming finally turns all non-coastal states west and south of Missouri into desert.

Not really, they lost by 2 on a failed conversion to a good USC team that has a future NFL back who had another great day....and controlled the clock on the ground with over 200 yards.

AZ isnt a great team, they have some very good offensive weapons combined with a offensive minded coach can beat anyone, but keeping the ball out of their hands...or any team like them...is a very good idea.
