Another Cyclone game, another horrible call by Big XII officiating. This time, the AD has had enough. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCvf2HqVKj8 This will come across to many as sour grapes I'm sure but anyone who has paid any attention to Iowa State athletics over the past couple years have noticed the Cyclone getting the shaft in multiple high profile situations in Big XII play, leading directly to losses (both football and basketball). While they likely weren't going to win today regardless of the botched call, it's nice to see the AD basically say "fuck you, fine me, we don't give a fuck anymore" |

What was the bad call? How could a 17 pt game be impacted by a bad call? |

I agree with him. You go into hostile territory undermanned yet again, outplay them for 29:30 of the first half and then that phantom TD just deflates you. Of course their special teams shit the bed yet again as did the red zone offense, but still... |

Went from being a tie game going into halftime to OSU having a lead. I'm guessing many ISU fans would say something about momentum going into the half...I don't really agree...especially since it was a botched kick return that led to them being in position to score at the end of the half...in the scheme of this game, ISU was almost absolutely going to lose that game regardless. This is more about what has occurred over the past couple years. Terrible calls have led to Big XII officials straight up saying they got it wrong and apologizing after the fact. The frequency with which it has occurred in both football and basketball is disheartening. This is where, while I don't agree with the timing of this statement, I completely agree with the sentiment. |
