Until they run "I could murder a bucket of Brown's Chicken right now", no deal.

I'm surprised that any of the Browns locations can pass inspection. The Browns near us is distustingly dirty. It's either Popeyes or chicken from da Jewels for us.

I've never had Brown's. Whenever I think of Brown's I think of murder. Brown's and buffets are things I avoid.

I've never had Brown's either. There even (briefly) used to be one on 75th & Jeffery.

If you haven't been to an Old Country Buffet, I consider you lucky. I've tried to avoid them for years, but family just pulled me in.

I have but now I have a little more control so I avoid all of them. Even when we/I leave the state I don't have any use for them. Diarrhea waiting to happen.

OCB is so bad it makes Golden Corral look like Gibsons.

Hadn't been in one in 15 years until last July. My son & 2/3 of his teammates decided that that's where they wanted to go. (In fairness, what does the glorious Louisville/New Albany, IN really have to offer?!?) All you can eat is the key to teenaged knuckleheads...and their parents' wallets.

My late (then 93 yr old) grandmother insisted on Golden Corral from time to time for "family" outings. Before she passed four years later, she ate at least one McDouble every day. It still amazes me.

Of course at 96yrs old a doctor asked her how she stayed so healthy. Her response: "I stay the hell away from doctors"

my ex-wife worked with developmentally disabled people as part of her job and there were these 2 guys (super nice) who she would take out to lunch on their birthdays. these guys were like 6'4" and 300+ , looked like football players. they always wanted to go to OCB. i was stunned at how much food they put away. i tried to go for the "safe" things like baked chicken and mac n cheese and even that was gross. they guys would knock back plate after plate of everything they had . i found the restaurant itself an extremely depressing place to be , gave me the creeps

The best thing at Golden Corral are those yeast rolls they offer immediately in an attempt to fill you up. I usually don't take them so I can gorge on inferior meat dishes instead.

I've driven by the Golden Corral here in town thousands of times in the last 12 years and have never had
the slightest urge to pull in and give it a try. The OCB here closed years ago and sat vacant for some time
before they finally made it a Tilted Kilt a couple years ago. I went there maybe 3 or 4 times and that was
about enough for me. The girls were average at best, pretty weak talent pool around here I guess.

You could do a lot worse than GC for breakfast, particularly for under $9.
