After complaining about organizations that won't hold people accountable or make moves, we finally have one that does! Kudos Theo! |

*witholding applause until W's are produced. doesnt mean I am playing the negative Jimmy Pasta role, but all the picks, construction, brain children, stats, money is all great and I know it's a great resource that improves chances of winning, but still need to see results. Hands are waiting to clap and I look forward to the day. |

You're all wrong. Joe Maddon needs to be labeled a failure or a success immediately. If we wait too long, we might have to judge him after he is hired. |

Are the Cubs the biggest lock in Chicago history to win a title? The prevailing attitude seems to be that everything they've done has been absolutely perfect. I'm getting legitimately excited. A Cubs World Series victory would be awesome. |

Any doubt of this was erased with his and Hub's mutual "well we all know guys that rush to break a story and don't have all the facts yet, even though they end up being right" Of course Nero won't confirm it to you Bruuuuuuce. There's this whole "no news until the WS is over thing". You are being played by him with this garbage so that if MLB get's pissed he can go "nope. Wasn't me" To cross pollinate threads and answer the "wonder why he wasn't on with B and B" from another thread, I'm betting because if he had given his little speech on their show they would have Mac / Zaidman 'd him and finally told him where to stick it. |

Bruce was the only guy to have Nero on the radio and sadly all the credit was just given to WSCR radio from every national media outlet that picked up the quotes, but not sure there is a guy with more baseball connections than Bruce. Very few guys still working the daily beat/job after that many years go into locker rooms to talk to players. (See Steve Stone) Bruce might sound and look a little strange, but his info is as good as anyone in the media. |

The young kids are at the MLB level, they have their manager in place, no excuses for finishing out of first place/WC. |

I give credit where credit is due. Earlier in the 2013 season bigfan was saying its time to win now, and the Cubs should be in a position to do that this year. He was right then too. |

This may or may not translate to a title, but they certainly went out and hired the best manager that was available...even when they weren't looking. I give them credit for making a good move here, but I, too, will measure their success on winning the world series. |

I also very much appreciate the headline moves as the media can stop pretending with their fake enthusiasm to care about the Sox. |
