I dont know if this is the intention of the members of this panel that ranks these teams, but things are laid out very nicely to essentially start this weekend. It doesnt matter if you are #1 or #4, just that you are top 4. but the teams outside are now setup to be able to jump in. AZ would take Oregon out if they beat them. 14 pt Dog, tough call Ohio St would take FSU spot if they lose Baylor takes TCU's spot Mich St at #8.....hmmm? but if 3 of the top 4 teams lose, they would sneak in. The one I will love to see if Ohio St beats WISC, then AZ Beats Oregon and jumps from #7 to #4 and keeps #5 Ohio St out And if you are Wisc....you lost to Northwestern! Thats what is keeping you out of the national picture. Ouch babe |

So far it has been a pretty big success. I hope it stays at 4 for a long while, and never goes higher than 8 teams though. I don't really want to be debating who the 16th best team is in the country. |

I would like 8 also, but you are really asking a lot of the teams fan bases to have to travel 3 weeks in a row. |

So a final four without a team from the best conference in the nation? |

I think we are in the final 8 now. 2 SEC teams just happen to be playing each other. I think Bama will be OK and move on Bama -14 |

Jerryworld hosted Final Four right? Fine, let's steal an idea from basketball and play football on an air carrier. Get pushed out of bounds? Fall of the ship. |

Yes, and that is over 3 days, not 3 weeks. |

If somebody else loses, then my guess would be that Bama stays ahead of them and gets in. If nobody else loses but Bama, then my guess is that they would be SOL. |

That won't happen. Grambling v. Alcorn State pulls more than that when they play at Soldier Field. You will get plenty of local interest for a game of this caliber |
