Best television music show in the civilized world. Why isn't there a 'merican corollary?

It's been good in the past but I haven't really enjoyed many of the acts the last few times I have
watched. Pretty hit or miss. Not sure why there isn't a similar show in the U.S. other than Austin
City Limits but that is usually just one or two bands. With all of the reality singing shows I don't
think there is currently a place for it in the dumbed down U.S. marketplace.

not exactly the same by any means but you should check out KEXP's channel (Seattle) on Youtube, they have ~20-30 min sets (usually includes a brief interview in the middle) from a TON of good acts, most of them are really good, good sound/video quality, etc.

Agreed, I have checked out a number of them. Another good one is NPR's Tiny Desk Concert series where the
performer or band plays a 10-20 minute set right in the NPR offices. I have tried to stream the KEXP station
from time to time at work with varying success.
