“We’re going to win the NL Central. Quote me on that. We should be the team, with all due respect to every other team, they’re just as good talent wise, but we’re going to do some things this year. That’s what we’re expecting. That’s what we’re putting our sights on. We’re not going to accept anything else.”- Anthony Rizzo I like the confidence and expectations. Cant really blame him for being excited to be on a team trying to win for the first time. |

Watched sports news last night and saw that clip of him saying that. You can tell by listening, and also by watching, that he really doesn't believe it. |

It was bad enough when the fans went around saying "It's Gonna Happen!", now the players are doing it. |

Joe Orr Road Rod wrote: It was bad enough when the fans went around saying "It's Gonna Happen!", now the players are doing it. Nothing wrong with confidence. The guy had a real good year, they added to the team and now they are actually trying to win. Id be worried if he didnt think they had a chance |

Love embrace of the leadership role. Especially love that the emerging leader is a red ass. |

Nothing to do with Herschel either. In short...when trying to subscribe to AOL many many many years ago....could not find one unique username that was not already taken.....came up with this. So...one night I was out on the town and met "The Man" himself, Michael Jordan. A buddy of mine knew this club owner, etc...and we hung out in the VIP section with MJ and his crew. I shook his hand and small talked with him some...and that was the inspiration to sign on to this message board (habit of using walkrman5), and was the subject of my first post on CSFMB. Too much information?? I know. Lame...but true. At the time, I didn't realize or think about the creative or funny username thing I now see on CSFMB. That said...I still don't think Rizzo believes what he is saying. ![]() |

Rizzo is the same guy who details how all of his opponents say the Cubs will be great in a few years with their minor league system as if MLB players pay attention to those things. He's a guy whistling by the graveyard. |

The road to the playoffs via the NL Central still runs through St Louis. Check back in October, Mr Rizzo |

Also not deserving of a shoutout...even on this board. |
