Thought for sure after the game he would have said "i wish they would have given me the ball. I would have got in"

Which is what most running backs would say.

but he didnt. in fact, he dismissed the call completely and said "i have no issues with the call. we are a team, and we lost as a team"

its hard to hate the guy.

5 times he was given the ball at the 1 and he scored once. Truthfully he's an overrated running back. He gives you 2 y pc for 20 carries and the has a 30 yard run that makes his overall numbers look better.

I would not say he is overrated, he can also catch the damn coming out of the backfield. I have no problem with him on the field, other than grabbing his junk.

Even if he is a tad overrated, you still give him the ball with the situation. If he does not get it, you still have a TO and 2 plays left.

Not true. Forte doesn't have many big runs but he will consistently get you 3 or 4 yards on most carries. The same is true for other running backs. Lynch kills your offense for all but 1 or 2 carries a game.

With your logic, Demarco Murray, Arian Foster, and Eddie Lacy kill their respective offenses even more, as they all have the same yards per attempt as Marshawn, but have more 20+ runs than Marshawn.

Call me crazy, but part of me believes they kept Lacy's carries down early in the year to try and get him healthy at the end. Knowing full well how the weather turns and when he would be most valuable to them.

I think DeMarco Murray is the best right now. I think Adrian Peterson would have been the best had he played this season. But out of current players:

Murray
Foster
Charles
Forte
MCCoy

Hell, I forgot Bell. He is probably Top 5 now. I'll take Forte out of top 5 and put Bell in, to placate you.

Lynch still does not make it.

Also, you can Google "Top NFL running backs" or any variation of.

I found one list that puts Lynch ahead of Forte. One.
