In all seriousness, what Larry did here was really well thought out and well said. The more I listen to this,the more I'm impressed. I never disliked the guy but being on here everyday has pointed out some of his bad onair habits. Overall,nobody on either sports station does a better job of working by himself (not easy)!

EDIT: Ok,maybe I should listen to the whole thing before praising him. At about the 25 minute mark,his patronizing of the damsel in distress gets creepy.

it's pretty hard to dislike laurence. for all the shit i've ever given him about SHAKE THAT and "chicks who could get it" --- i shit you not that i genuinely want SHAKE THAT back in place of the current stupid intro song and i want more "chicks who could get it" because THAT is the essence of laurence, and i think he should embrace the cheese instead of cut it out to be holmestein after dark.

No. Laurence loves Dan. Absolutely idolizes the dude.

Yet, he put his intense feelings for Dan to the side and unleashed a verbal ass whipping. Gave Dan a reality check. But, Laurence made it known he's a forgiving man and proclaimed he wouldn't lose faith and jettison his idol in this trying time.

That's realness everyone should appreciate and admire.

I'm gonna keep on saying this. Larry was in the studio when Bernstein said he loves Megan Glaros's boobs. Said nothing. Counless other times Larry was in the studio when he would say crass things that hurt people for no other reason than to be mean. Larry said nothing.

It is VERY difficult for me to regard this as anything but disingenuous grandstanding by Laurence. This is the same guy who, over the years, has frequently talked about women who would "get it" and has verbally leered at most of the female on-air personalities at Channel 5.

He was going to QUIT because Dan Bernstein said a woman has great boobs?

Laurence has been a leering, drooling, creepy fucking embarrassment to the station for years.

If he had a problem with the way Bernstein talks about Devin Hester and Derrick Rose, he should have said something about it before instead of constantly twisting himself into a pretzel trying to kiss his ass.

I do agree with what he said about it being easy for hosts like Bernstein to say things about players and coaches when they're not the ones at the station who have to see them and how it can make things harder for other guys at the station.

As for him saying that women don't feel safe working at WSCR, everyone's seen the pictures of him leering at/dancing on the drunk girl. I don't think that makes women feel safe.

Pretty easy to sit all day and observe the way the wind is blowing coverage wise and then shape your response.

And he did not confront Dan on this during transition?
