Doing a pretty good segment right now on pump the breaks on Bryant and other Cubs prospects. His producer tired of hearing people calling them gods.

Leary with another orginal show?

He has a full day to create a topic, he doesnt need to worry about BREAKING NEWS pushing his show back, nobody wants to sponsor anything on this show. He has a blank slate and the big HOT topic of the day is that the Cub prospects should not be GIVEN all star status before they prove it? WOW...may I add ALL players can prove it before I cheer for them.

Had a guy at Vines at the Bar saying the same thing. I guess he could have a show as well. I mean, if he could provide 5 seconds of dead air between thoughts so you can absorb the depth of the concept!

There has been an uptick in the excitement since the Lester signing and some things have been overstated. And I never said those people didnt exist, just that its a smaller percentage than some say.

But being excited is a good thing

Being excited to the point where you're concerned these two weeks in the minors may prohibit him from breaking the all-time HR record? Because that was an actual W&S call.

Both are insanely awesome and a little different (Heenan as a manager)

Both are top 5 ever on the Mic

When Boers was more coherent than he is now, his quick wit sometimes reminded me of Heenan.

I never woulda guessed CH is a Scott Steiner guy.... But go figure i'm rolling with a guy who during an early NWA/WCW taping in Atlanta once yelled back to a heckler "HEY BUDDY MY SHOES COST MORE THAN YOUR HOUSE!!!!!!"

I gotta go with the man, the myth, the legend that once asked DO YOU REALKY WANNA JUMP ON SPACE MOUNTAIN???

No, I never liked Scott Steiner at all, but now I recognize the fun-bad of his rambling. Most of the stuff in those clips seems to be TNA, which I never watched. FAAAAT ASSES

Paul Heyman

A top 5 on the mic is a very hard list to come up with, a lot of great ones.

Flair
Cornette
Heenan
Dusty
Macho
Heyman
The Rock
Stone Cold
Jake Roberts
Ted Dibiase
Michael Hayes
Chris Jericho
Edge

And that is not even counting guys before Flair and Dusty

I never really dug Edge, and WCW conspiracy Jericho is the only Jericho who matters. On a side note, Scott Steiner and Sid are on their own plane of existence when it comes to stick work.

And for an added bonus, the best Bret Hart promo ever...

Arn was quality. Definitely the best spine-buster in the business.

Fun fact regarding Arn : Both he and Sting are the same age.

Post subject:  Re: Laurence

Damn you would think that he was about 10 yrs. older. I always thought that he was underrated. I always appreciated how he stood by Flair. They were supposed to be cousins don't know if that was true but the original horseman were rock solid.

Post subject:  Re: Laurence

yeah how could I forget HBK and Punk, both very good on the mic.

Arn was decent on the mic, but he never really got the time to shine as much on the mic as he could have since he was with Flair so much.

Now Arn's spinebuster is one of my favorite moves of all time. It was a thing of beauty. I did not know he was the same age as Sting. He looked old to me in the 80s, must have been the bald spot and beard.

He was also one of the best jobbers in the business at the time. The horseman were my favorite wrestling crew of all time.

The great thing about HBK is he didn't always need to talk to be entertaining; the reactions he would give were classic.
