That was dominance. Wire to wire. I wish he would have made that par on 18.

Wasn't sure he could handle the pressure. He did. Good for him and and great for the game of golf.

The game of Golf needs a new star who is likeable and this kid just might be him.

Yeah, until he starts taking PEDs and screwing unattractive Perkins waitresses.

His hairline is already receding. So, he's probably already juicing. The cheap whores are not far behind.

There is so much wrong with this, besides incorrect spelling and capitalization, and the passive aggressive shot at Tiger. Rory was attempting to be the sixth man in the Masters era to win the career grand slam, and the biggest story leading up to the Masters was Tiger.

The game of golf isn't sputtering, and in search of a new star. Rory is the best player on the planet, and he is only 25. Jordan Spieth didn't just come out of nowhere, he has been on the first page of leader boards for two years now. There are many young stars on the PGA Tour, and if you paid attention at all, you would know that.

Rogaine has to be calling this kid for an endorsement deal. Then he gets plugs to act like it worked. Be worth millions for Rogaine.

Who are you kidding? This kid had the cheap whores before this Master's title.

this has been one of the most irritating things about golf in the past 8 years. every time some young player wins a major, the talking heads start chirping about the next rising star.

I honestly don't get this at all. There are a great amount of young golfers winning including Speith. What is the reason that the media worries about the stories or the ratings? Who cares these days? watch a sporting event and enjoy or not.

Fuck Tiger and the money a broadcast entity makes. I care less about ratings than just about anything else. Watch or not, enjoy or not and be done.

I watched today and loved every minute.

Tiger is 39 years old. He is the 'passed'. Much like Jack, Arnie and Watson at that stage of thier careers, he may win a couple more majors or he may not. Things haven't changed. Golf has always been about the next great young player. Jack took out Arnie. Watson took out Jack and so on. Today is no different than yesterday.

I didn't realize Mickelson has finished second in major tournaments 10 times, with Tiger having six 2nds and Nicklaus 19(!).

Tiger's -18 in 1997 as better than Spieth's due to margin of victory (Tiger won by 12). I think Tiger's only performance better than his 1997 Masters win was his complete domination at the 2000 U.S. Open, where he finished at -12 and second place was +3.

Well, given that you measure performance based upon the differential between first and second, I agree with your assessment.
