True, he probably exceeded his life expectancy with the number of NFL games he played, but the memories and stories he had in his 70 years are probably more than most of us will have.

Man, it's really not going to be the same after games now. Nine years I listened to Doug and OB do postgames, even for Bears games I didn't watch.

R.I.P., Big Doug, loved watching him play, loved listening to him. Going to miss him during football season.

I don't think OB is going to go on without Doug. I can't imagine it. There just won't be that kind of show again.

This sucks. An era of guys that actually cared about being a Bear is ending and too soon for Doug.

OB won't do the show anymore, either. Or, if he does, it would be Mannelly and OB - which would also suck.

Lost in his media career was a truly fantastic playing career. Didn't make the HOF, but I always felt he deserved more consideration.

There's really no point in even having a postgame anymore. It should die with Doug.

Could always take solace in the fact that he was always there with OB to make you laugh after a Bears loss. With him gone, Bears losses will now just be pure misery.

Oh,man,oh man! I'm off the 'net for a few hours and of course I check this board out first and discover Doug has passed on. Some deaths hit you harder than others. I loved Doug on and off the field. RIP,Big Guy!
