Better than Mayweather-Pacquiao.

This could be Ducks-Blackhawks triple OT action here.

Vanya looks like the kid in class who'd remind the teacher they forgot to assign homework on a Friday...

Gokul gets stoned before these spelling bees, just, yano, to give the other kids a chance:

Gokul doesn't fuck around. Started spelling the championship word before dude even looked up from reading it.

I made it to state in 5th grade. Could have won the whole damn thing had I not been tripped up on "grandiloquence," but then I just would have lost to an Indian kid from Connecticut anyway.

Remember the girl from New York who would always cover her face? She had a nice 15 minutes.

I always resented the critics who said the spelling bee just rewarded rote memorization. I mean, yes, technically it did because all the words came from a list that you were given ahead of time (the Paedeia or something? FAKE EDIT: Paideia. I wasn't gonna let myself spell that wrong), but for the most part I was just winning bees because I learned to read early and knew lots of words. In the run-up to state, my teacher would allow me to duck out of class for 20 minutes or so to have classmates quiz me off the list, maybe the one time in 1997 that other children liked me, but by then I had already done too much paradoxically white coasting and would have had no chance against the paradoxically non-white grinders.

Spelling bees are one of the stupidest things that exist in our world.

Nah, like I was getting at, it's a good way to reward literacy, if only at the school/regional levels. It shouldn't be your life's work like it is for these cloistered Indian kids, but it's a nice chance to feel like a winner for the kids who get picked last in dodgeball.
