THanks, edited post. I misread the headline.

Took my dad out there yesterday. We watched Speith come in on 18 and 9, and in-between, you could hear the birdie roars when he started to surge. I can just imagine how much bigger and louder the Saturday gallrries were.

First time I've been to TPC Deere Run. Great-looking course built right next to a crap-1970s-looking subdivision...anyhoo, very well-run facility and tournament. Well worth the trip.

Spot on description. I love the parking in back yards. You can drive there with no tickets and be in the door for around 30 bucks.

And he takes it in the playoff :thumleft:

I would hate to be Tom Gillis - he only really got his career going the last few years, and has never won. For a brief shining moment, he had the lead today.

I find it hard to feel bad for ol' Tommy. I think he made more cash today than I did this year and last.

Buddy of mine scores putts every year as a volunteer. Was on #8 this year. Why he does this I have no idea. Love to play or watch on TV but really have no interest in watching golf in person.

Dude has been a professional golfer, at various levels, for a couple decades.
He's doing fine.

He has earned more than $5 million in his PGA career. And now, he is playing in the Open Championship.

He is good.

I wonder how Mr. Reason thinks Gillis is doing?

I was agreeing with you, Crusty McDustyPants.

Getting a slight case of Cush-lash with all the Spieth love. He is a breath of fresh air and a good kid, no doubt. Not much room left on the
bandwagon.

I didn't get to watch any of it this weekend but glad he won and there should be no question about player of the year.

$22M earned on the courses. Told my 19YO he'd better step up his game, and quick!

Certainly, a case can be made for Jason Day.

For 2nd yes, but it is pretty clear it has to be Speith. 5 wins, 2 Majors, the tour championsip and the Fedex Cup.

Not after this weekend. Plus his record in the Majors this year, 1st, 1st, T-4, 2nd left little doubt. If Day would have won the FedEx Cup you could have made
a pretty decent case for him.

If Spieth doesn't win this week, Day was the PoY. That's how close it was.
