They are not the best team, but this last 4 was very impressive. Even though they didnt face MadBaum, they impressed in almost all areas of baseball. Bullpen still shaky as ever!

But I do think it's funny that all the obvious Cub fans on Chicago sports radio who have denied their allegiance for years, even claiming to be big Sox fans, are suddenly pulling the Cub caps out of the back of their closets. Hello, Danny Blue and Red!

Is there a wrong way to win? After 100 and however many years, I would think Cubs fans would want their team to win at all costs, regardless of who thinks its "right."

I think you may be accusing people of being fans when instead they are just following a good story. Which might be considered part of their job.

Of course, if ever there was a cause to switch allegiance to the Cubs, now might be one.

No. Guys like Mac FM and bernstein are obviously more gleeful when the Cubs show a glimmer of hope than they were when the Sox steamrolled to a World Series victory.

dan was never a sox fan. just a poser. his lifelong bit of being different to be different had him say he's a sox fan. but you can tell who deerfield boy has always rooted for.

Yeah, I'm all on board with pointing out the various ways Bernstein sucks...but this would be one of the least significant reasons.

I only remember this from 2005:

At the end of July they were 68-35, a 14 and a half game lead in the American League Central over both Cleveland and the Minnesota Twins. However, from August 12 through August 23, they would lose 8 out of 9 games they played, including a 7-game losing streak and sweeps at the hands of the Boston Red Sox and Twins, reducing their lead to 7 games, and would finish August at 80-51.
