I've seen hundreds of thousands of races and I'm about as hardbitten and jaded as a horseplayer can be. It isn't very often I see something in a race that makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck. Here's a mare going up against top handicap colts in the heart of the stakes season. Just to go in a race like this is notable. The way she won it was something else. Yeah, Bayern and that moron that was draping him (guess who I bet) cut out a suicidal pace, but the mare wasn't too far off it and she finished like a goddamn freight train. When Gary Stevens asks her to go, it's really something to see.

Races like that is what makes horseracing fun, even for amateurs like me. I watched it twice (second time with my wife) and got chills both times. You could tell even Trevor really enjoyed that race.

Thanks for posting it.

Thanks for posting JORR. I've only been watching horse racing intently since 2012, but when I seen the race I said it was one the best races I've seen, especially considering it was a filly against the boys.
