I've seen hundreds of thousands of races and I'm about as hardbitten and jaded as a horseplayer can be. It isn't very often I see something in a race that makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck. Here's a mare going up against top handicap colts in the heart of the stakes season. Just to go in a race like this is notable. The way she won it was something else. Yeah, Bayern and that moron that was draping him (guess who I bet) cut out a suicidal pace, but the mare wasn't too far off it and she finished like a goddamn freight train. Races like that is what makes horseracing fun, even for amateurs like me. I watched it twice (second time with my wife) and got chills both times. You could tell even Trevor really enjoyed that race. Thanks for posting it. |

Thanks for posting JORR. I've only been watching horse racing intently since 2012, but when I seen the race I said it was one the best races I've seen, especially considering it was a filly against the boys. |
