Per Len, Hughes getting a scheduled day off so it'll be Coomdog and Grote in the booth. Coomdog and Len will flip places for 3 innings in the middle of game as well. Grote was easily the nicest guy at the Score. Great to see a person at teh Score who wasn't a bitchy prick get rewarded. I'll be tuned in. |

One slurred word, and Beardown will start fifteen threads about Grote's "relapse," complete with painfully unfunny and made-up conversations. |

not only a good dude, but a long time Cub fan....so I wont get the Jessica Mendoza explaining that when you "slow it down" it all works better for the 54th time! I think she knows hitting but she doesnt know MLB and whats happening |

I'm looking forward to hearing Grote on the Cubs pre and post on The Score next year. He's a huge upgrade over that douchnozzle Rongey. |

Grote is indeed a good guy... a REAL guy who doesn't think he's above it. I also am glad he's been rewarded with chances. And he sounded good last night. Les played some highlights on my commute this morning. |

I don't listen or watch enough Cubs baseball to care about their booths. I will say, Pat Hughes is fine PBP voice and would welcome him to the Sox any time. Kasper....I don't dislike him not like him...He and Joniak have less than desirable vocal tones, but he's tolerable. I've met Grote and like him as a person very much. I think that translates on the air and he's always been an enjoyable listen. I wish him the best with whatever opportunities come his way. |
