What was her deal, for real?

She really hates Gatorade.

She provided the punch line for every postgame show I've watched...

"He got more hits in there than the Pirates did all night."

Not fair. New rule, your play-in game SP cannot pitch in the NLDS.

That was one of the funniest sports moments I've witnessed in a long time.

My wife and I replayed it over and over and couldn't stop laughing.

The crowd was hilarious, too. Was anyone in Pittsburgh sober last night?

Great game to watch.

Congratulations, Cubs fans!

Absolute joke that he wasn't an all star this year.

You have to give him credit for backing up his trash talk.

It will be interesting to see if this was a one time deal.

I meant the trash talking of opposing fans.

Will go all WWE villain?

You mean the season?

I think so. Even if he went 18-9 with a 2.43 ERA, it's going to be "less than". I don't think one of the great all-time seasons is a good baseline to set for what you should expect from a guy.

So, I'll be shocked if this isn't a one-time deal. All the more reason to capitalize on it right now while the guy is still this hot. The Cubs were fortunate to have one of the hottest pitchers in the history of baseball available to pitch for them in a one-game winner take all playoff game.

And it was fun to watch.

I also loved his post-game quote to whoever the reporter was that asked why he wasn't sharp. "I don't know what game you were watching."

I got to feeling very comfortable with the game when the crowd was getting excited by just getting a guy on base, even when it was because he got hit in the fingers and nobody had actually gotten a hit yet.

It wasn't clear but I just meant the trash talk.

No. He seems like he really likes the trash talking.

He's fiery. If he stays this good, he's going to be fun to watch.

Now I know how RPB felt. :eye:

Funny though; I hadn't thought of/seen the X-Pac comp when I posted that last night, and of course didn't take note of the fact that both their first names are Sean. That seemed considerably more interesting/funny until I typed it all out. I'm gonna go lay down in the road now.

As long as you don't start getting X-Pac heat, you'll be fine.

I hope Arrietta pitches well today. He's going to have to really work hard to pitch up to Lester's standards from the first playoff game.

You want to add Sauganash to the list of backyards locations in which you are bad mouthed?
