On a night the Cubs were facing a pitcher that had not surrendered a run to them in game one of the series, Javy goes 2 for 3 with a game changing 3 run homer to the opposite field. The blast helped the Cubs defeat the Cardinals and advance to the NLCS. The moment didn't get too big for the young Baez. He didn't crumble under the pressure. He came up huge for the Cubs. Way to go Javy! |

That was beyond huge. So do they keep all these infielders next year for depth purposes?? |

No, fuck you all. You're not allowed to get behind Javier Baez. You all shit on him. Non-stop. This that and the third. GTFO. |

I did not shit on Javy Baez. I wanted him to be injected into the Cubs like phosphates into a brisket. |

I think they keep them because as BigFan and I have discussed, I see Bryant moving to the outfield, Baez to 3rd, with Russell at SS and Castro at 2B.. but if one of them get hurt, they can always move Bryant back to 3rd, with Baez covering SS or 2B if need be. LaStella represents the depth. If they were to trade Castro in a deal for a starter, I guess that would change all that. |
