my brother in laws were big do-it-yourselfers for a while. Do-it-yourself always meant that I had to help. I don't have many skills in that area and they would bitch about my work behind my back. Meanwhile, the stuff they did was equally poor. It was obvious the work was done by homeowner with whatever project they took on. One brother in law is a tradesman so he always exchanges work for his friends with them working on his stuff and it is noticeably better.

One of my brother in laws has had 3 houses over the years. He insists on building a bar for each. He is so proud of them when he is finished but they look like something you would find in a frat house. He had some huge shard of wood impale his hand while making one, had to go to the hospital and had an infection for a month. NWI problems.

I can see it in a second if the work is done by 2 guys they found on Craigslist.

My painter, JUAN! is excellent...he is a complete diva and charges way too much, but I know the job will be done perfect and faster than anyone I have ever used. I dont need to watch him, he calls me when he thinks we will be looking short on paint....not when he is out of paint. He cleans up and comes back to fix mistakes.

...and Chus, please dont tell me again about how you dont call people out.

We bought our house shortly after getting married. Ugly colors so my new wife and I decided to paint. BIG MISTAKE. Bad paint job and we almost killed each other in the process.

LESSON LEARNED: It is cheaper to hire painters than it is to get a divorce. I have, and never will, paint again.

About two years after we moved into our palatial estate in the far-SW not-quite-suburban sticks, my wife decided that she needed to have the main floor "professionally" painted.

Without my knowledge. SURPRISE!!! :x :x :x

To the tune of about 3 large. :puker:

Other than some sentimental reason detailed artsy-fartsy crap she wanted, the remainder of the paint job was basic and adequate. Not great, not bad - just adequate. I told her if she ever pulls that shit again, she will be commissioning her next paint job for a large cardboard box after I lock her out and close all of the bank accounts.

I later did the upstairs floor at about 5% of that cost. Three colors all told, and it looks just as good as the "pros".

Does he do exteriors too? I will probably need someone next spring to do the whole outside of the house, including some sanding/stripping.

I'm not putting a whole lot of stock into any things he says. I don't even like that show. I was half listening as I sat at the computer. I LOL'd at the painting comment, because of the dopey painter that posts here.

I could care less if you call him out all day, but you as much as anyone here loves to tell everyone that you dont that. You dont go after anyone. So it isnt about calling someone out, its about believing your own bullshit at this point.

Call him out all you want, he says shit that should be called out, but dont sit back tell me that you dont do it and you just go around here doing nothing, because the list of people you have gone after isnt as short as you think it is for some unknown reason.

Boyd got it right. he wants to call the guy out for saying shit here, go for it. Just dont try and tell me later you dont engage in such shit.

Please produce a post of mine where I said I never call out Elmhurst Steve, or I ask that you cease making these false claims. I have been doing it for years, and enjoying it.

You are confusing him with PittMike, who often took passive aggressive shots at me, which were returned with heavy gunfire.

Did. Not. Happen.

I hammered the guy into the ground over his bowling claims. It was one of the biggest beatdowns this board has ever seen.

But, by all means, keep making things up out of thin air.

Been happening for YEARS here.

Like your just some innocent bystander in all the shots fired.

IMU stirs more crap than anyone (Thats why he isnt invited to my party :o ), but the guy will be the first to admit he stirs the shit, then you have others who stir the pot and dont comment on it, but You CHUS lead the way in the "I didnt do it" department, as if you have a good reason for everything you do and it is all warranted. of which, I dont care if it is or isnt.

Then it shouldn't be hard for you to provide some unedited posts of mine where i claim to be above it.

And you obviously care, or you wouldn't still be at it. There are many topics on the board about which i don't care, so i don't post in them. I post in the ones that do matter to me.

We all know you have never been in the wrong, so I would suggest you just drop it and next time you feel like slamming someone just own up to it and no need to disclaim the fact because it matters to you, that should be some sort of exception to you starting issues with people.

Fact is I dont see Steve starting issues with you. Not saying he hasnt, but you sure seem to spend much more time here attacking certain people, then they do commenting on you.

I dont go looking for either and I am not going to go search for them like you do, I just see them ....just like everyone else does.
