Quote: During the close of today's show, I told Pete McMurray we'd be back Friday morning to celebrate the Blackhawks forcing a Game 6 and Jake Arrieta's no-hitter. Nice call today Mac. |

Too bad no one heard it. Imagine if he was a sports talker. Well... a boy can dream. |

Maybe he needed to take a step away, even if it's for a bit or longer than you'd like. Not looking like he'd ever go back to ESPN and the score is/was full of piss heads. I think he'll be back and take the afternoon time slot after Boers retires after Bernstein flames out. You seem pissy and impatient about it. And if he never gets back to sports, so what? Let it go. |

I'm over it. In fact... I've not heard a word from him in like two years. Dude wants to talk sports. Why is he on an FM music station? He originally said it was to talk about 40 year old music. |

I don't begrudge Mac his career change, just wish it were his show and not McMurray's. But hey, he's been at this for like 25 years, he's earned the victory lap. |

I'd love Mac and Kap, although two show drivers probably wouldn't work well. If I recall though, Mac has been on Kap's cable show. I can't believe I am agreeing with E-Steve over my pals Boyd and Tiny. |

And sadly that makes them better than almost anything else on Chicago Sports radio. Most of the folks are either bigger a$$lickers or have never had an interesting thought. |

Yeah, it's a good call. I've definitely grown tired of it. Unlike most of the folks here though, I am not much of a music person. I guess I should start downloading podcasts on Chinese history or something. I am almost done with my current book on the Eastern Roman Empire. |

I download 3 different podcasts weekly and spend the rest of the time listening to my iPod. |
