Just saw that! That is awesome. I have to admit that I don't understand the strategy since you're supposed to schedule easy teams, not ones that competed in BCS bowls! But it will be an unequivocal success from an attendance standpoint. Should be a really good game!

That means we have another 5-game home schedule (I think the 3rd one in the last 4 years now). It really is an accomplishment to the program that we win as much as we do when we play so many road games.

2014 NIU non-conference schedule:

Presbyterian (who?)
@Northwestern
@Wake Forest
@Arkansas

2011 was 6 home games + home game at Soldier Field
2012 was the same as 2011.
2013 is the first year with 5 home games.

2010 we played 5 home games. So, three times in 5 years. I didn't go back and look until now, i just know we are doing it more than we should.

We should play a minimum of 6 home games every season. You have schools that are playing 7 and sometimes 8 games at home, making their schedule a lot easier.
