LSU won the first game in OT in a battle of field goals. They will beat Alabama for a second time by a final of 30-13 in what ought to be a glorified home game for the Tigers.

If Alabama wins the rematch in New Orleans tonight, might we looking at a split BCS Championship? It'll anger some people, but SI's Andy Staples hinted that Friday on "The Dan Patrick Show".

This game is terrible. It feels like I should be watching CBS at 4:30PM on a Saturday. Bowl games are meant to be matchups between different conferences. Too much familiarity and too similar of a style. Oklahoma State may not have won but at least we'd be getting a chance to see how the best of another conference matches up at a neutral site.

A playoff system would be much better. However, these seemed like the two cut-and-dry best teams all season long and theres a good chance this matchup would've happened with the playoff system also.

For those who like the current BCS system - it's pretty impossible to argue that OK St should be here instead of Alabama. Alabama clearly had a better resùme.

It's not impossible. If you think that two teams from the same conference shouldn't be there it's over.

It would be like the Bears and Packers meeting in the Super Bowl. Even if they are the two best teams you have conferences for a reason.
