This is a big weekend for the Big 10 as 4 of the top 5 teams play each other. Iowa is at Michigan and Illinois is at Ohio St. This would be a great time for the Big 10 Network to get their head out of their ass and promote baseball by broadcasting some damn games because the conference is actually pretty good this year but those bunch of dopes will probably show Rutgers vs Penn St on sunday afternoon.

BTN is really missing the boat this year with baseball/softball coverage. I find myself watching softball games on ESPNU or the SEC network regularly since BTN is showing Big Ten Elite or some other fodder.

Here's the weekend TV schedule. They're showing games but of course they picked the wrong games. Purdue, Rutgers and Penn St are all god awful. That Saturday Iowa vs Michigan will be a good one. Blake Hickman (Simeon) and Ryan Nutof (South Elgin) should be the starters. MLB teams missed on Nutof last year. Kids gonna be a Dude. Indiana vs Maryland will be good.

Friday- Purdue/ Michigan State 2:00 PM
Saturday- Rutgers/ Penn State 1:30 PM
Saturday- Iowa/ Michigan 4:30 PM
Sunday- Indiana/ Maryland 11:00 AM

Hawger, your Hogs are on SECN tonight at 6PM against Bama. With a strong finish they could move into the hosting a regional discussion. LSU vs Miss St is on ESPNU at 6:30PM.

Yeah, they are on all weekend. I am going to miss it as I am going to the Bucks/Bulls game.

If I could see this coming from over 500 miles away why the hell couldn't they?!?

Sunny Golloway says fingers are crossed that #Auburn will get Keegan Thompson back. Has another doctor's appointment Weds with Dr. Andrews.

Hawger, your guy Benentendi hit his 17th last night. He pretty much has SEC Player of the Year locked up now he's working on National POY. He's also shooting up draft boards. The Brew Crew have the 15th pick......

Yes I saw that last night, his numbers are sick. The Hogs have won 16 of their last 20 also, sucks they lost to Tennessee once last weekend, they are terrible.

That was a tough loss. Not sure what happened to the Vols. This was the year the great Dave Serrano was supposed to turn them around or so the experts told us. Not that easy to turn things around in that meat grinder of a conference.

Keyser,

If you've seem him, what's your projection for Blake Hickman (Iowa - P) in the upcoming draft?

All reports are saying 1st or 2nd round on Hickman. They say he has a chance of going in round 1 but should be in the top 50 picked.

I haven't seen him but I've talked to a couple guys who have Iowa. Sounds like the 1st round is a little rich. He's more likely to go somewhere in the 3-5 range. He's pitched a lot better than they thought as a starter so he's earned the chance to continue starting but he'll most likely end up as a reliever.

Conference tournaments are getting started this week. The SEC starts today and the Big 10 tomorrow.

LSU is the #1 seed. Arkansas is #5 and Mizzou #7. It looks like the SEC Network will be broadcasting all the games. Arkansas plays Tennessee tonight at 7:30PM.

Illinois is the #1 seed and Iowa is #2. The Big 10 Network will broadcast most of the games. Illinois plays Nebraska on Wed at 5:30PM

Keyser, my boys got lucky last night as they left at least 15 men on base and still won in the bottom of the 9th. My guy Benintendi was awful, as he left at least 7 on himself.

Wow they did get lucky. I watched until the Vols tied it up in the 8th. Benintendi had some bad at bats. Maybe he was a little spooked by all the heat in the building.

I couldn't believe the pitches he kept missing, he just had a bad night.

They get a real tough matchup tonight with Florida. Hoping it's McKinney vs Shore. I think the second round goes to double elimination so it's not win or go home. If they go deep in this tourney they could host a regional though it would be really cool if they end up in Champaign.

It is now double elimination, and Trey Killian was really good last night. I am fairly certain you will see McKinney tonight, it is a big game to win that first one.

They're saving Shore and Puk. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Kevin O'Sullivan is probably the best in all of college baseball at not overusing his pitchers.

Speaking of Florida I heard Lux went on recruiting trip there last week.

I have heard all kinds of things about the Lux kid, and not all of them are very good.

Illinois vs Nebraska is on the Big 10 Network at 5:00. Mark Buehrle......I mean Kevin Duchene (Joliet Catholic) is pitching for the Illini.
