I don't think Florida State was all that great, but they probably drop to #5 in the playoff rankings. They dropped to #5 in the AP today. First of all, Washington should be ahead of them anyway, especially after this weekend. They have the most wins against Top 25 teams and the second-most difficult schedule.

But it looks like the FSU quarterback is done. I wonder what will happen if Alabama and Texas win out and Alabama gets in over Texas?

Undefeated power 5 conference champ has to get in over a team with a loss.

They may lose to Florida next week, and then they have Louisville. Without their starter, I mean, it might be a little difficult.

First, I hate Texas, so absolutely no "homerism" in this opinion. Every "common sense" part of my brain says that Texas winning at Alabama makes it impossible to take Alabama over Texas. That would basically ignore actual games, for the sake of "if they played today" gut feelings. However, does that leave an 12-1, 2-time defending champ, out of the playoffs??? Two SEC schools in, and 2 Power 5 champs out???

Cleanest solution is Georgia beats Bama. That makes Georgia and MI/OSU two of the spots. Texas, FSU, and Wash/Oregon fight it out for last 2.

Committee nightmare scenario:
Bama beats Georgia
Texas wins Big 12
OSU/MI undefeated
FSU undefeated
Wash undefeated

To me, that would mean no SEC schools make it, but that is twilight zone stuff...

Northwestern walked back asswards into a better coach than Fitzgerald.

I would be looking to lock Braun up long term if I were NU administration. The guy wove gold from straw this year. One more season like this and he will be getting calls from the big boys. He's from southeast wisconsin, so I'm sure he likes being close to home, but that only goes so far.

Northwestern is in a better direction today than they have been in several years.

Super happy for them. And they got a White coach, too. (Sorry.)

Ah, but such is life: They have this huge win and then have to play a buzzsaw in one of the most hostile stadiums for visitors to play in.

Please Don't Hurt 'Em Illini

They don't even get to sleep over, probably.

If Paddock started the entire year, they might have another win or two.

Michigan’s little flag bit is incredibly gay.

Been saying they have been overrated all year.

Hard to compete with Michigan when you don’t have a QB.

Terrible call. Announcers are right, that should've been overturned.

Somebody who knows more than me once said that OSU built a program to win a national championship, Harbaugh built a program to beat OSU.

Watching North Carolina's defense is like watching the Mel Tucker Bears defense. They can't stop anyone.

He only has 3 touchdowns and about 100 rushing yards. He takes a lot of unnecessary hits, but he's tough.

Edit: He's a guy that may look better in the NFL. There's nothing around him. It's mediocre at best. It's a miracle he's been this good.

In a crazy snow game, Iowa State beat Kansas State 42-35. Iowa State had a 33 yard TD pass for one of their 6 TD’s. That was the shortest scoring play they had all night. 42 points, with zero plays run in the red zone. Lol
