Not comparable. Wainwright was a total clown.


Wainwright had more success than any of the guys who followed him.


Knew someone who worked in the athletic dept. during the Wainwright era. He phoned it in and cashed the checks.

His dad runs one of the best AAU programs in the state. Natural pipeline to good players which DePaul so sorely needs.

Really good defensive coach.

Develops talent well, see key players for both Purdue, (Jones,) and U of I, (Domask.) It's almost impossible for a school like SIU to compete with NIL money.

my youngest went to ND basketball camps when he was a kid and D'Amico was one of the instructors. They struck up a bit of a friendship and still occasionally interact on social media
