Tennessee's coach just yanked (briefly, and not with too much force, but undeniably yanked) his QB's facemask after the QB made a stupid play....coach is gonna get in trouble,

mild compared to how football coaches used to handle players. face-mask was a convenient handle to move players into position during practice.

Totally agree with that. Holtz and Ray Curry are the last coaches I saw do that on the sidelines.

I'm very happy. They are missing at this time roughly 10 starters on a team that had no depth based on the coaching change and the abysmal recruiting at the end of the previous coaching regime. They lost at least two players who are NFL players, one of which was projected to be a possible first round pick who hasn't played all year.

So, they've gone young with almost every player being a freshman and they almost beat Iowa, destroyed Maryland, and will beat Illinois. They should beat Nebraska and IU too. They have to beat Northwestern to make a bowl game but we are looking at a 5 win season. The Nevada loss was pretty horrible though.

They'll be much improved next year given the major uptick in recruiting that is already starting to show. They've gone from classes ranked in the 60s and 70s to the 20s and low 30s.

I'll be a little disappointed if they miss a bowl game this year but it's pretty clear the talent they have as freshman and sophomores. With how bad they were, it was always going to take a while to build things back up.
